Partners in Care
General Practices in Erewash have a rich and exciting history of working together to improve the quality of care delivered to their communities. Recent successes such as the ‘On Day Service’ have received international acclaim.
From 1st April 2018 Adam House Medical Centre, Aitune Medical Practice, Eden Surgery, Gladstone House Surgery, The Golden Brook Practice, Littlewick Medical Centre, Moir Medical Centre, Park View Medical Centre, Purnell and Partners, and Dr Webb’s Practice have come together to form Erewash Health Partnership.
The intention of this innovative move is to ensure the resilience of General Practice whilst supporting the overall care that is provided. Patients registered at the practices will not notice a change in the way that they are cared for, but over time they will recognise an improvement and an extension to the services that are provided, as the collaboration between the practices increases.

Gluten Free Foods
After a consultation in 2017 the Derbyshire CCGs no longer approve Gluten-Free Prescribing and any patients regularly prescribed these products should look to receive correspondence of the new policy within the next 6 months. This will detail information, help and support that they might find useful to help them manage a gluten-free diet.
